Baby Watch: Week 13

I’m finally in my second trimester!  We got our results back from our first trimester screening, so we are ready to tell people as we see them.  Everything looked great, so we don’t have anything to worry about for now.  I’m relieved to feel a little better lately too.

(This is a look back on week 13.  I’m currently at 20 weeks, but want to get these all posted in order.)

Any gut you can see in these pics has little to do with the baby!

Week 13: April 9 – April 15

Baby size: Peach

Maternity Clothes: Not even close, though we went and got a bunch of maternity clothes from my SIL. She sent home some various baby items too, like a tub, vibrating seat, portable rocking seat thing.  We’re very grateful to be able to reuse some of her things.

Sleep: Less tired, but I have trouble getting comfortable at night sometimes. Considering getting one of those pregnancy pillows.

Symptoms:  My nausea is lessening slightly, so I’m not mad about that.  Yay 2nd trimester!

Workouts:  Elliptical, weights, walking/jogging on treadmill.  This is my first week that I had to give up volleyball :(.  I still say she made me quit way early compared to everyone else who played when pregnant.  But it wasn’t a risk I was going to take.

Good moments of the week:  Our NT scan results came back excellent – they showed very little risk for Down’s or other chromosomal issues (the test only determine level of risk, not a definite one way or another).  We told even more friends this week – now we’re ready to tell everyone, just waiting until we see them in person when possible.

Movement: Nothing yet

Food cravings: Banana protein pancakes still

Food aversions: Nothing

What I miss: Sleeping through the night.

What I’m looking forward to:  Being nausea-free – I think it’s going to happen!

Milestones: less nausea, can feel my uterus protruding
