Baby Watch: Week 27
I’m posting a few days late – we’ve been prepping for and laying flooring downstairs for the last several days so I haven’t been on the computer much outside of work. Lo’s done the majority of work, but I did paint the baseboards.
Week 27: July 16 – July 22
Baby size: Eggplant – Average size: 13.6 -14.8 inches, 1.5-2.2 lb.
Maternity Clothes: All maternity pants except my yoga pants, combination of maternity tops and regular tops. My belly looks like an actual pregnant belly now, so I don’t care if my shirts are a little tight around it anymore.
Sleep: I have to switch sides regularly, but aside from waking up to pee every night, I’m sleeping pretty well still. I love my Snoogle. I may never give it up.
Symptoms: I’ve been getting heartburn pretty regularly after meals. It’s not too big of a deal though. I can’t always tell if I’m hungry or my stomach hurts for some other reason. I get side belly pain every now and then when I’ve been standing/busy all day. You know what’s gross? The feeling of your belly sitting on your thighs. Yuck!
Workouts: I did yoga, a 100 leg workout (still doing burpees!), and the elliptical a couple of times. I think I’ll stop the burpees now that I’ll be in my third trimester. It seems unnecessary and my sister text me to say “stop with the darn burpees already” after reading the blog last week.
Good moments of the week: We were super-busy most of the week, picking out and buying flooring and other stuff for work around the house. We discovered Yabo’s Tacos, lol. So good – and it’s cheap and fast, so I think that’s the only place we’ll be taking the baby to go out to eat! The gluten-free baking class that Kelley and I were supposed to take at Cherbourg Bakery would have been a highlight probably, but it was cancelled….after we drove the 30 minutes to Bexley. It’s supposed to be rescheduled, so it’s fine…but i need to know how to make those Smores’ Bars! Our niece’s 1st birthday party was on Sunday and that was a lot of fun. If we have a baby 1/2 as cute and happy as she is, we’ll be thrilled. She is such a good baby (and her parents totally deserved that).
Food cravings: Nothing major this week. I made some “clean” oatmeal/chocolate sandwich cookies that were amazing. I ate more of those than I should have!
What I miss: Sleeping though the night, wearing normal clothes, knowing how much I can eat before I’m too full, not having my belly rest on my thighs when I sit down, lol
What I’m looking forward to: Having new flooring downstairs, our baby tour at the hospital this week, being in the third trimester
Milestones: This is the last week of my second trimester! The baby is viable, though I’d prefer for him or her to stay in there for another 10 or so.
Burpees what the heck!? lol my husband would die reading this he hates them he had to do them in police academy!
You are awesome to be doing that much pregnant by that stage with my second I was dying from lack of energy haha.
I actually like them – they are hard, but such a great exercise – more bang for my buck.
