Friday iPhone Dump: Family Visit part 2
I’m linking up with Jen over at Ramblings of a Suburban Mom for Friday iPhone Dump. We had a busy week with lots of visitors…this is the second half of the visits. Friday and Saturday night we had 9 family members staying with us. I thought it would feel more crowded than it did, but it worked out pretty well.
1. Uncle Gary practicing for his baby boy due in February
2. Aunt Christine getting some baby time (which was hard with 10+ people visiting)
3. This is what we call baby jail. Lo swaddles him and holds him on his side when he’s super-fussy. It works almost every time. He looks like a baby doll like this.
4. We had a surprise small-scale baby shower for Summer and Gary while they were here. Everyone just got small stuff since they’d either need to stick it in their luggage or we’d need to ship it back. She was able to stuff it all in one of our duffel bags and check her other bag.
5. We did a 50/50 “Guess the delivery date” for $5/guess. She was happy that most people picked early dates. Lo and I both picked 9 days before her due date, since that’s how far ahead I had Jenson.
6. The Smith’s meeting Jenson after they arrived.
7. I love these Gymboree pants on him…they have a matching shirt with a cute fox, but it was way big on him still.
8. and 9. Our kids are ready for Thanksgiving thanks to Aunt Christine. She’s made lots of adorable hats for Jenson, but Boof’s Pilgrim hat is just priceless. She’ll wear anything and pose for pics for a treat. Hopefully we can get a picture of them together wearing these.
10. Aunt Summer enjoying baby snuggles.
11. Hanging with cousin Brady.
12. Cousin Lydia getting some baby time. My nieces and nephews loved holding him and would argue for time.
13. Finally fitting into his football snuggie and hat that Christine made.
14. Hanging out with Gannon – his next oldest nephew on my side at age 11. Jenson also has his cousin Sadie, who is 16 months.
15. Gramma snuggles.
16. Trying on the Buckeye helmet that Christine made for Baby Allgood.
17. Laying on top of his baby cousin.
18. and 19. Five weeks old!
20. Tummy Time! He has such a strong neck for 5 weeks!
21. His 1 month appointment stats. Still a little guy, but the Dr. said his growth chart is perfect.
22. He’s super-smiley in the morning….even after being really fussy for hours the night before.
23. Getting ready to go to Costco and giving Boof some alone time.
It was a fantastic week…and sadly Lo’s last week off work on paternity leave. We’re so lucky that he got so much time, but we still don’t want it to end. He has the whole week for Thanksgiving off, so we just have to make it through this first week before getting another break. I don’t want to even think about when I have to go back right before Christmas!
