Friday Photo Dump: Feb 17 – Feb 23

Jen at Ramblings of a Suburban Mom hosts a Friday Photo Dump linkup and its a fun way to post a few (or bunch) pictures from the week. I switched my date range to Monday-Sunday because it wasn’t working for me to try to get the pictures up from the night before on Friday. (or saturday night if I forget) I got all of these pictures ready and then forgot to finish the post on Thursday night. And then Friday night too.

This week, Jenson was finishing up his fussy period as he was getting through his Wonder Week 19. So far, we’ve found the Wonder Weeks book to be accurate. As as matter of fact, I didn’t realize he was coming up on a Wonder Week and when I couldn’t figure out why he’d been so fussy and clingy, I looked in the book to see when the next was coming up. Turns out, we were in the middle of the stormy weeks before the leap (more on this in another post). I think he’s made the leap now, so at the time of this posting he’s been doing much better. I know it seems weird for me to say he’s been fussy and then post so many happy pictures, but he’s really a happy baby generally, but when he’s moody or mad or upset, he’s those things 100%. When he’s like that, I’m usually trying to soothe him, not take his picture.

February 17 – February 23, 2014

1. He’s getting good as grasping things and they go straight to his mouth. Sometimes he misses grabbing the object, but his hands still go to his mouth before he realized he didn’t get it.
2. Look at that ornery face!
3. Ok – this tummy time thing isn’t THAT bad anymore. He rolls more frequently, though not regularly yet.
4. I had to get one last picture of him in the raccoon sleeper. It’s one of my favorites and this was going to be the last time he’d wear it…it was definitely getting too short (it’s a 3 month)

5. Just sleeping with his finger in his mouth.
6. Boof and her hippo were sitting the exact same way on her bed. Okay, so I posed the hippo like she was sitting. When I went to take the picture, Boof looked at me very disapprovingly, which isn’t unusual anymore.
7. Ok, I pretty much take a picture every time he falls asleep.
8. Happy face 🙂

9. Concentrating on some toys wearing a drool bandana that Gramma made.
10. Just about to crash for the night. So sweet.
11. I told you I couldn’t stop taking sleeping pics.
12. I had to wear fussy baby in the baby k’tan while I got stuff done the one day.

13. Brunch with our friends! They’re having a baby girl for Jenson to play with.
14. Braxton napping on his mommy. She generously volunteered to keep Jenson for a few hours on a day when ML couldn’t watch the boys so I could go into work for a bit. This is how they were when I got home (Jenson was sleeping in the swing across from them).

15. Baby planks! When he’s fussing and you put him in the air like this, he stops. But then he drools on you.
16. Naked tummy time! Luckily we put a waterproof pad underneath because he promptly peed. He had fun for a bit though.
17. My sister made this gorgeous blanket for us to give to our friends’ who are due in April. C sent me a pic and asked if my sister would be able to make something like that, so I commissioned her to make it for them without telling them. The blanket isn’t heart-shaped, but the original picture was, so I posed Jenson really quick on it before we gave it to them. (Hope they don’t mind!)
18. This outfit that Jenson is wear in this picture (and the previous one)? I bought it for him to wear home from the hospital. Not only did I over-estimate how big he’d be at birth, but I had no idea that Gap clothing runs big. It’s 0-3 month and it still fits him well at almost 5 months. Oh, the things you learn after having your first baby…
