Life Lately…

Busy, busy, completely busy.  That pretty much describes us.

We finally picked a rug we like for the living room.  Now Boof won’t wipe out when she jumps down from the couch.  We are getting things done around the house, but everything seems like it’s taking so long even though we are working as hard and as much as we can.  Lo keeps saying I need to start to take it easy, but there’s just too much to do still, so I need to do it while I still feel okay.

My “main” baby shower is on Sunday.  We are doing our gender reveal at this shower, so it’s pretty exciting!  I won’t have to worry about slipping with the gender terms anymore!  Kelley has done an amazing job planning the shower with some help from a couple of friends and my SIL.  When Kelley plans a party or gathering, she goes “all out”, so it’s going to be adorable and awesome. Two of my sisters, my nephew and my mom are coming in tomorrow so they can be here for the shower.

We are having a mini-photo session done tomorrow in a park.  A photographer was offering $20, 20 minute sessions and I thought it would be a great chance to get a good photo for the shower thank-yous.

I’m still need in maternity jeans, but I did find a pair of black jean-style pants that are really comfy, so those will tide me over for now.  The best part is, they were only $10 at Clothes Mentor.  I also found a brand new dress that I may wear to the shower (for $10), a nursing tank, and an OSU maternity shirt (it’s a turtleneck-style shirt, but it’s cute).

Boof and I had appointments on Friday.  Mine was my standard 32 week appt. – everything is great.  Boof had to go because she’s been sneezing like crazy and having reverse-sneezing fits several times a day (normally she only does it about once a week).  Her breathing was a little more raspy too.   We assumed it was just allergies because everyone is suffering right now, but the vet wanted to see her to make sure she didn’t have an upper respiratory infection or something else.  He thinks that it’s just allergies and gave us antihistamines for her.  If it doesn’t clear up in a week or so, he wants to see her again.  She seems so tired lately.  At first I thought she was just sad because we are busy every evening until late and she feels neglected (even though we are usually home, we’re busy), but maybe it’s just that she’s not feeling well.

Kelley got me awesome birthday gifts including a magic curling iron like the one she has.  Now I can have curlyish hair!  No one has ever been able to make my hair stay curly and look good until Kelley used her magic wand- and I can even sleep with these curls in and they look good.  I’m curling it for the photo session and the shower this weekend.  Here’s what it looked like when she tried it the first time for me in Hawaii (and barely even used styling product).  I took hers to Vegas for Summer’s wedding and it looked great – and even better the next day.  I just didn’t have time to look for the picture tonight.

So that’s some of what has been going on around here.  I don’t foresee things slowing down for a bit!  Have a great weekend!
