Menu Monday: Freezer Food and Dining out
Linking up for Menu Monday again. I didn’t take any pictures for some reason, but nothing was thrilling. It was mostly food from the freezer and dining out, along with a cookout.
Monday: Lasagna from the freezer that Lo made awhile ago. We were going to have fish, but it wasn’t thawed yet, so he thawed this quickly. It was SO good. We had it for lunch too.
Tuesday: Lasagna for lunch. Swai Fish Fillet with green beans and radishes (from the garden!)
Wednesday: Fish and green beans for lunch. Dinner with Lo’s parents at BJ’s Brewhouse. I had a blackened salmon salad that was pretty tasty. Lo had a Hawaiian pork chop of some sort.
Thursday: Mexican beef and rice casserole that I threw together the night before for lunch. Harvest Pizzeria in German Village. I was buying some cloth diapers from a lady in German Village, so we went to this pizzeria because they have gluten-free pizza. It was definitely one of the best GF pizzas I’ve had. They get the crust from Holiday Baking Co. and have great toppings (many that are locally-sourced). We had: Spicy Yuma – Canal Junction Gouda, chorizo, jalapeno, corn, roasted red pepper, chipotle-spiked tomato sauce – but we substituted smoked chicken for the chorizo because I’m not interested in chorizo during my pregnancy.
Friday: For lunch I had Mexican beef and rice casserole. Cookout with our neighbors: Burger, corn, lettuce wraps, baked beans, fruit, browines…
Saturday: Dinner with friends at 101 Beer Kitchen. I had the brisket, which came with grilled potato salad and apple slaw.
Sunday: Thank goodness Lo took care of dinner because I wasn’t up for even making a decision. I wasn’t feeling great after spending most of the day at the Zoo. He made chicken burgers, broccoli patty things (bought from IKEA), and baked beans.
