Migraine and Treats
Sunday night after we watched a movie with friends, I started to get a killer headache. I swear it had nothing to do with St. Patrick’s Day because I didn’t even drink. I woke up many times through the night because it hurt so bad it was hard to sleep. I was having really violent dreams (as I tend to do when I’m trying to sleep through pain) and when I woke up for work, I knew I couldn’t go in. I planned to go in around noon, hoping extra sleep would help. The extra sleep seemed to help at first and I got to work around noon. I immediately regretted my decision because my headache was back and I was dizzy and out of it. Luckily I didn’t have much work to do.
At some point I emailed Lo about a deal on macarons at Pistacia Vera (they are amazing) and said I may need to get them before the sale ends. An hour later, he brings this to my office.
Since I had a headache, I didn’t want any sweets right then, but I’m so excited to try all of the flavors!
My headache didn’t go away and officially reached migraine status. After another terrible night of dizziness and sleeplessness, I stayed home on Tuesday to try to sleep it off. It was finally going away by the time he got home from work (luckily, because I had a volleyball game), and he’d brought me this!
A Chocolate/Shamrock Shake! I’d been wanting to try this combination because I’m not happy with the straight Shamrock shakes since they switched to the McCafe shit. I couldn’t drink it then, but I had it after volleyball and it was awesome! If your McD’s still has the Shamrock shakes, definitely ask for the mix.
Maybe I need to be “sick” more often! LOL! Just kidding, I’ll gain 20 pounds from treats.
