Ohio Zipline Canopy Tour
This post is long overdue, but I finally got my pictures uploaded. For Lo’s birthday, we went ziplining at Ohio Zipline Canopy Tours in Hocking Hills Ohio with Chuck and Kelley. We opted for the Canopy Tour plus Superzip. The canopy tour is about 2.5 hours worth of ziplining over 10 zips and 5 skybridges and the Superzip is long zip from a 75 foot tower to the ground where you can reach speeds of up to 50 mph. Chuck and Kelley had both zipped before, so Lo and I were the newbies. He was more nervous than I because he doesn’t “love” heights (though I’m not a very nervous person in general – I kind of think “what will happen, will happen”). He was mostly afraid he’d forget the rules and kept repeating “don’t grab the line” to himself. The 4 of us before we started… Lo coming in for a landing…Me coming in for a landingMe in the middle of a zip…Photo op partway through. For some reason, whenever I wear a helmet, it’s always crooked and I look like a doofus. We had a ton of fun on this tour and our guides were pretty funny. You feel so secure when you’re up there between the harness and always being clipped on. I never even thought about the heights or falling. I highly recommend this tour to anyone in the area – and Hocking Hills is a great destination for camping (cabin, tent, rv, etc.) and hiking.
Here’s a pic of an adorable cabin that we stayed in with Chuck and Kelley for New Years Eve weekend this year. We had a BLAST.
