It was quite a week last week. Jenson had a slight cold/runny nose from the week before (which he shared with Lo) and spiked a fever on Wednesday. The doctor got us in right away and found that he had an ear infection. I stayed home with him the next day, but his fever went away and he was pretty good. Unfortunately, it was my turn to have the cold for a few days. We since found that he also got two top molars in during this time (and a bottom canine), so no wonder he had a fussy week. Fever, ears, teeth, and runny nose…I think we’re lucky he slept at all.
Jenson started calling us both daddy this week. I’m not sure why he started that, but he’s still doing it. Lo will be holding him and he’ll be reaching for me crying “daddy, daddy”. We correct him and say “mommy” and he just says “daddy”.
He’s also testing his boundaries with things he knows he’s not supposed to touch. He’ll walk towards the dog bowls or printer saying “no no no” – waiting for us to catch him and say “no”. He’ll keep trying until we move him from that area a few times and say no, and then he gives up. It’s cute and annoying at the same time. Obviously, we try not to let him see us laugh…

Swim class (and after). It takes him awhile to “warm up” and have fun in the pool, but every week it happens faster and he enjoys it more. He’s just shy and there are a lot of people around.
Holding mommy’s volleyball.
Ear infection. 🙁 We were on the way home from the Dr. and at the pharmacy while Lo was grabbing the antiobiotics. He wasn’t crying when I went to take this picture, but then he broke down.
Having oatmeal the next morning.
It looks like he’s declaring his love to his vacuum…and really seeing how she works.
Facetiming with Gramma and blowing her kisses. Wearing Daddy’s hat after work.
Playing IN “his” cabinet. Busted.
He was playing and having a snack with daddy in the morning and walking around with cereal stuck to his face.
Someone’s shirts are getting a little small in the stomach region. Hanging out with Nana. She came up to stay so we could go to the Jack White concert.
Finally trying out his sled! Every time we’ve had a good snow, it was either crazy cold outside (like 5 degrees) or he was sick. By Saturday he was mostly over his cold, so we decided we needed to finally take him out in it. He loved it.
He liked riding in the sled, but wasn’t sure about walking or sitting in it.
But he also loved tasting it. We made sure it was clean, probably.
We went to the concert that night and got a Pedicab from the parking lot to the arena. Pedicabs used to be donation-only, so we figured we’d throw him $5 or so (it was about a 4 minute ride). Once we were in the seat and on the way, we saw the smallish writing on the bike that said it’s $10 per person. So basically, we paid the same it would have probably cost us to get a real cab from our house – for a 4 minute open-air, freezing cold ride. We elected to walk to the car on the way back.
He was excited to see Papaw the next day. He was especially excited to eat all of share his toast.
He did a little cleaning and laundry on Sunday to wrap up the weekend.
