Sunday Social: about my blog

It’s Sunday Social day where Ashley and Neely post questions each week for people to answer on their blogs and a linkup.

How did you come up with your blog name? 
That’s What She Said was already taken (of course) and since I wanted this to reflect our life, “That’s What We Did” was more appropriate anyway.

What is your favorite thing about blogging?
It’s kind of just something I do.  I like writing…I like trying (and sharing) new recipes.  I like the thought of having a record of what’s been going on in our lives, but I hate journaling.  I feel like it’s a great way for friends and family to keep up with what’s going on with us.  I’m not good about calling people or keeping them in the loop, so this makes it easier for me to “share”.  Hopefully it makes them feel a little more connected to me, because I’m not the easiest person to feel connected to.

What is one thing you have discovered because of blogging and now cant live without?
I’ve been reading blogs for years, so I’ve learned so much – from financial advice, to recipes, to diy stuff.  I can’t pick something that I “couldn’t” live without – I’m pretty adaptable and feel like I could totally simplify my life and be fine.

Facebook or Twitter? and why?
I think we answered this last week.  I prefer Facebook because it’s a smaller group of people who I interact with (and they aren’t strangers).  People post random stuff on Facebook, but I think they post even more random things on Twitter.  And strangers posting random stuff isn’t that fun for me. I still like it to keep with stuff that’s going on, but I have no need to check it regularly.

If one celeb read your blog who would you want it to be?
I don’t really care.  I like reading about celebrities and I like (some) of what they do that makes them celebrities, but I don’t have any need or desire to “connect” with them.  I know it’s terrible, but I don’t think of them as “real” people who share the same life as me.  Does that sound terrible?  It’s not like I’m going to meet a celeb and we’re going to start hanging out.

What is something you want people to know about your blog?
I keep it real, but I’m not going to share everything going on in our life for privacy sake – especially if it involves friends or family.  I like sharing what’s going on, but our life isn’t an open book.
