Sunday Social Linkup: Social and Summertime
It’s Sunday Social day where Ashley and Neely post questions each week for people to answer on their blogs and a linkup.
- 1. What is your favorite Social Media outlet?
Facebook – as much useless info that in on Facebook, I find there is even more useless info on Twitter. I starting doing instagram a LONG time ago and it wasn’t popular then. Now people die over it and I’m not into it. Maybe I’m doing it wrong, but it takes too much time to edit/put picks up, and people put such random pics on there that I don’t want to browse theirs either. Ain’t nobody got time for that.
- Do you subscribe to any daily news reads? If so which ones?
What does this even mean? Blogs, newsletters, real news? I get a boatload of emails with all of those things daily, so I don’t want to name them off.
- Favorite Magazine to have by the pool?
Us Weekly, People, In Touch…you know, real news.
- Favorite summertime song?
I don’t have one for this year, and can’t think of any recent ones, so I’ll go with Boys of Summer – Don Henley. I’m not even old enough to love him, but I do. Sunset Grill is another good one. Funny that I’d pick something old like that because I more into bands like Lumineers and such. I used to be a mega classic rock fan though and still have Don Henley’s greatest hits in the box under my bed.
- 5. Best Summer concert you’ve been to?
Hmm…I used to go to concerts all the time and most of them are “summer” concerts because I prefer outdoor venues…not sure how to pick one, or even five. It’s probably not the Dave Matthews concert that Summer and I got “lost” at 10 years ago….
Here’s a few I can think of…Tom Petty, Cake (which was part of an all-day show), Counting Crows, Elton John, Damien Rice, several years of XFest (all-day alternative rock shows near Pittsburgh – those were a blast). Mumford & Sons should be included, but the venue screwed everyone by moving the show to a parking lot after the tickets sold out, instead of the awesome outdoor venue where it was supposed to be, so they could make more money. Not bitter at all.
Verve was awesome – it was indoor in Vegas, but Vegas is always summertime (and I think it actually was summertime)
