Sunday Social – Past, Present, Future
It’s Sunday Social day where Ashley and Neely post questions each week for people to answer on their blogs and a linkup. This week they’re getting deep.
- What is your ideal way to relax?
Watching tv or a movie, or drinking wine with friends.
- Where is your favorite place to be?
Kauai, Hawaii. More attainable, my parents house. This is view of part of their land from the back field towards the house.
- Who do you consider your biggest roll model?
My sisters – I’m the youngest of 6 girls, so I grew up looking up to all of them for different reasons. It’s been way too long since we’ve all been together – sadly it was our reception over 2 years ago.
- What does your life look like in 3 years?
Hopefully we’ll have a baby/toddler, deciding whether we’re going for #2 or not. I don’t know whether I’ll be working at the same job, it’s a good job, but hopefully not. Boof might have a dog sibling too.
- If you could go back and change one decision what would it be?
I would have gone away to college instead of commuting. I went to Youngstown State (which is 25 minutes from my parents home) and was all set to play volleyball for them, but a few weeks before the season started, my physical therapist wouldn’t give me clearance to play from a partial rotator cuff injury/scapula impingement from my senior year. To be fair, I probably wouldn’t have been able to play because the injury wasn’t healed (also the doctor at PT’s fault for not diagnosing/fixing the impingement in the first place, which would have allowed the rotator to heal). Anyway, I always have felt like I missed out in a huge way because I missed the college life experience. Since I wasn’t playing vball, I worked my way through college and spent zero time on campus except for my classes (and I even skipped those as much as I could and still maintain a good GPA). YSU was also a mainly commuter campus, so there wasn’t a ton going on there anyway. It makes me sad every time I drive through OSU campus that I never got to experience campus life. While I’m happy with how I turned out and would never want to trade my husband and friends who I have met since college, I always wonder how different of a person I’d be if I had that experience. I also would have thought more about what I would be able to do with my degree instead of choosing it because it was the most interesting and made the most sense to me.
- What is your biggest accomplishment in life thus far?
Being a good person and a good judge of character.
I’d love to hear your answers in the comments – pick your favorite question! If you joined the linkup, let me know!
Stopping by from the link up! I can see why your parents house is one of your favorite places. It’s beautiful!!!!
