Sunday Social: Style

It’s Sunday Social day where Ashley and Neely post questions each week for people to answer on their blogs and a linkup.  This week the questions are about style…so I have essentially no useful answers.

What is your favorite store to shop at?  For clothes I guess I’d say Gap – maybe Marshall’s?  To be honest, I don’t love clothes shopping and usually only go when I need, though I mostly buy online.  Most of the maternity clothing that I’ve bought new is Gap though – only stuff on sale though!  For everything else, Amazon.

If you could afford anything and everything, which designer brand would you covet?  I literally have no idea.  I don’t really “follow” any designers so I don’t even know what I’d buy if my budget was unlimited.  Athleta, lol?!  Clearly, I’m super-stylish.  I like looking at designer clothes on celebrities and such, but I never considered what designers I’d wear or what my designer style is.

Must have closet staple?
Open-front sweaters.  I’m always cold.

Favorite kind of shoes? (brand or type)
Toms.  I told you, I’m stylish.  Otherwise, ballet flats.  I really want a pair of Tom’s ballet flats, but want to try them on before ordering.

Best clothing deal you’ve ever gotten? (sale or amazing find)
I buy most everything on sale, so I’m having a hard time coming up with specifics.  I get a ton of compliments on a light green hooded military/anorak jacket from Loft for like $10.  Also everyone compliments a purple bell-sleeve wool swing coat that I got at Old Navy for $20.  I guess I have good taste in coats, but not much else.  Well, there’s also a long black jersey one-shoulder dress that got probably 12 years ago – long before 1 shoulder dresses were normal.  I think I paid $10 at Dillards and wore it for a ton of things (bachelorette parties, new year’s eve, holiday parties, etc.)

Style you’d love to try?  If the question was things that look good on me, it’d be different.  As far as what I want to try, I guess I wish I wore more color and/or prints.  I always stick to gray and black and it even annoys me!  But not printed pants.  My ass can’t pull that off.  I feel like I’ll be lucky to not end up a yoga-pant-only mom (when I’m not at work).  I’d love to wear hats that look good on my too.  It’d be nice to not wash my hair so much.
