Teeth and travel
We just got back from a 4 day visit to my parent’s house, where we got to visit with all of our immediate family. It was such a great visit, but too short as always. Now I have 1000 more pictures to edit, in addition to the others that I was already behind on. We got family photos taken by a professional and they went way better than I’d expect with 25 people.
Jenson hasn’t been in the best of moods lately. He started cutting his first tooth on July 16 and it didn’t seem too bad for him, but I felt his second coming in this Saturday, and its been a little rough for him. He’s been pretty fussy and way less smiley than normal. He won’t really let us see the teeth, but I got a shot where you can see his bumpy gums while he was eating on Saturday.
I think it’s going to be a rough evening…as of 11:15 p.m., he’d already awakened 3 times crying. Lo settled him the first two times, and the third time he wasn’t calming, so I went in to nurse him. He nursed for a couple of minutes, but really just wanted to be held. I suspect I’ll be going in his room about every 2 hours tonight, if not more frequently. But if it’s going to make him feel better, we’ll do what we have to do. Being tired is just a side effect of being a parent, and if it means I’m tired for the next 20 years, I’m okay with that.
Okay…make that 4 times tonight. Still worth it.
