Weekly Workout: Jan. 12 – 18
I had a decent workout week, despite being busy every night after work with something or another. Because of that I didn’t get dinners made that I’d hoped, but we did well enough.
Saturday and Sunday, January 12 – 13
- Nothing: I don’t usually do much on the weekend….this weekend wasn’t any different.
Monday, January 14
- Noon – Workout found on Life, Love, and Marathons: Repeat 3 times, no rest: 10 burpees, 20 squats, 30 mountain climbers, 10 pushups, 20 squat jumps, and 30 crunches.
It was a good, quick workout. My calves were sore the next day – I guess it was the squat jumps. I did 25 minutes on the elliptical afterwards. - 7:00 p.m. – Boof Sprints: I never count dog walks, but Boof was hungry because we got home later than normal after test driving a couple of cars. We sprinted for almost the whole “walk”. We were both seriously out of breathe when we got back to the house. We are both a little fat, so that makes sense! This may have been the reason for my calves hurting actually. And I was wearing dress pants!
Tuesday, January 15
- Noon – Yoga at Capital Club: This class was with a new teacher and I really liked the class. I liked the other teacher that left a lot too, so I miss her.
- 9 p.m. – Co-ed Volleyball: This was against a decent team at least, so it was way better than last week. We won 2 of 3 and really should have won that third game.
Wednesday, January 16
- Noon – Halloween Challenge Throwback Workout: I opened my notes where I have workout ideas stored and I saw the Halloween Challenge from October. I looked at the calendar, saw that it was the 16th, and decided to do the 16th day of the workout. So I did 80 squats, 64 lunges, 48 situps, 32 pushups, and 16 burpees. Then I did 25 minutes on the elliptical. Here’s a reminder of the Halloween workout.
- Just as a note, my day at work SUCKED. I was extra busy and my coworker was off. It’s wasn’t too much work for me to handle, but stupid things kept happening or changing, so just when I thought I would be done with something, someone would change it, or the scanner was screwing up AGAIN, or someone would call me about something that someone else is supposed to handle. Or I thought I forgot to do something and had to try to restart my computer after I was ready to leave, only to have it not restart. I had to go to my boss and ask her to check it on her computer and it turned out I didn’t actually forget (or someone else did it). It was so annoying. I decided that I was going to drink wine while I walked Boof when we got home. But not before I pinched my finger in the wine opener, lol! Wine is not as good out of a plastic cup and straw, but it did the job and the rest of the night was just
winefine.
Thursday, December 17
- Noon – Nothing. We test drove a car instead. We really thought we’d want this Jetta but then I realized just how small the back seat was. The floor hump and front center console were too big so you really couldn’t fit anyone other than a small child in the middle. We don’t have a small child.
- 5:30 – Capital Club Yoga: Last week wasn’t terribly hard, so she made up for it this week! It was a big class, but everyone was pretty fit so she really put us through it.
Friday, December 18
- Noon – Capital Club Yoga: I’m scheduling this post before my workout, so yoga is the plan. I’ll update if I fail for some reason. Friday’s classes are always a little more challenging (but not as much at Thursday).
