Workouts: July 30 – August 3

I still need to get more cardio in…as much as I’m loving yoga, I know I need it.

Monday
Noon
:  I did my 100 Challenge on Monday this week, partly to get it over with, partly so it wouldn’t be the same day at Hot Yoga.  This workout was even faster than the previous week.  It’s my third week so I started with 100 Single Leg Deadlifts and ended with 10 reverse lunges (I did 10 each leg).  The burpees are getting harder and harder each week, and I’ll probably start doing 5-10 between other exercises so it still adds up to the amount for the week but I’m not trying to do 40+ at a time and need to take a lot of rests in between.  This week I split them into two sets of 15.

8:30 p.m.: Co-ed 4’s volleyball – we won all three!  3 of the 4 players (including me) were subs, so that’s pretty good!

Tuesday
Noon:  Vinyasa Yoga at Capital Club

Wednesday
Noon:  45 Minutes of Elliptical

Thursday:
Noon
:  Spinning at Capital Club

We skipped yoga because our teacher had a sub and we felt like taking a Thursday off to meet up with friends for dinner.  We started with Pups and Drunks at Powell Winery (okay, really Pups on the Patio) and had dinner at Liberty Tavern afterwards.  It was a great night…good friends and good conversation (and some vacation planning!).

Friday
Noon:  I went over to do yoga, but when I got there the room was empty.  I went back to the front desk and saw a sign posted that said “No Yoga”.  I was really irritated but glad I wore my vibrams instead of flops like usual.  I did the elliptical for 20 minutes and then decided I wanted to run to the farmers’ market for some veggies, so I (literally) ran back to my office to get my wallet, to the atm for some cash, and then to the market.  I got peppers, potatoes, green beans, zucchini, melon, and cabbage at a variety of stands.  It was a heavy load – the cabbage was the biggest, heaviest I’d ever seen!  As I was walking back I was wishing that I bought all of this stuff on a day when Lo was at work because not only did I have to carry it back to my office, I was also going to have to carry them the few blocks from my office to the car at the end of the day!  I made it though…
